Gie Yoon, Associate

Gie Yoon has extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property practice, with a particular focus on patent preparation and prosecution. His work has included assisting clients with preparing and prosecuting utility and design patent applications in the United States and abroad, and performing patentability and freedom to operate analyses. Gie has worked on a wide variety of technologies, including software, computer-related devices and methods, payment processing systems, machine learning, blockchain, data storage, database, packaging products, and mechanical devices and systems.

Gie also has extensive practical knowledge of computer science and computer technologies. Prior to law school, Gie worked as a software developer at major global financial companies, including JPMorgan Chase and Merrill Lynch, designing and developing software applications.

Gie is fluent in Korean and actively involved in Korean American organizations in New Jersey. Outside of work, Gie enjoys hiking and spending time with his family.
